Report on the meeting of The Supporters of The Mothers of Laleh Park in Germany with the special rapporteur on human rights situation in Iran, Mr. Ahmad Shaheed
In frankfurt, Germany, a group of The Supporters of The Mothers of Laleh Park Abroad met with Mr. Shaheed on Sunday December 4, 2011 (Azar 13, 1390).
This group of mothers who reside in Germany, presented Mr. Shaheed with 130 pages of documents and letters by the mothers of those executed during the last thirty three years, political-consciences prisoners and those injured during the protests after the 2009 election.
Mr. Shaheed, carefully and with a positive attitude, paid attention to the details and spoke with representatives. The group, answered questions, while stressing the confidentiality of the letters. The mothers each explained the instances of human rights abuses in Iran.

They presented evidences of terrible prison conditions, the number of injured and disappeared, unlawful conditions of temporary jails, general prisoner population's lack of legal representation, intimidations against The Supporters of The Mothers of Laleh Park, unlawful arrests, heavy and unjust sentencings, disregard for the rights of the accused and prisoners, harassing and imprisoning the mothers and family members to stop them from holding memorials in private homes and cemeteries, including Behesht Zahra and Khavaran cemeteries, harassing and imprisoning the mothers and family members to stop them from seeking justice, harassing and imprisoning the mothers and family members of the disappeared to force the to silence, intimidating and harassing those injured during the recent events, execution of political activists, mass executions in the decade of 1980, specially in 1989 and burying them in mass graves, execution of victims under 18, frequent calling and imprisoning of women, workers, students, ethnic, religious and sexual minorities in cities all over the country and the continuous harassment and intimidation of the families of the victims of the 80's.
The supporters of The Mothers of Laleh Park also demanded the special rapporteur to conduct a direct meeting and dialogue in Turkey and or Iraqi Kurdistan, with the victims of the human rights abuse in Iran. At the end, a short film screened about the efforts of Behkish's mothers, who has lost 5 children and a son in law to the executions of the 80's. In this film, she addresses the UN and asks why it does not hear her voice and take any action. Mr. Shaheed, as everyone else present, was extremely impressed by the demanding cry of this 90 year old tireless mother and requested a copy of the film and asked for future communications.
